For the past fifteen years I have worked with people who have endured many different challenges, ranging from life-threatening trauma to everyday struggles.
My work as a therapist has included supporting people at all stages of life development. Most recently I have specialized in working with older adults and caregivers. In the past I have worked with people who sustained traumatic injuries, individuals dealing with terminal illnesses and their families, teenage parents living in a group home, grieving adults and grieving kids.
One of the intrinsic elements of a successful therapy experience is building a healthy therapeutic relationship. This belief has motivated me to deeply understand my client’s goals and develop a meaningful alliance. Having a connection where you feel accepted and respected allows us to work in collaboration, process issues that arise, and move forward. My other core belief is that every person has a unique story and is a unique being, and therefore a different therapy practice is constructed to fit what works best for the individual.
I attended Villanova University for my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and completed my Masters Degree in Counseling at Fairleigh Dickinson University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor.
